SLRLN Speaker Series:

Campbell House Museum Tour & Presentation

Campbell House Museum, 1508 Locust Street, St. Louis, MO

Monday, October 28

4:00 - 6:00 PM

Spend an afternoon delving into the history of St. Louis from within the stately rooms of the Campbell House Museum. Museum Director, Andy Hahn, will furnish us with a presentation and tour of this Victorian home. As author of the newly released book, Mapping St. Louis: A History of the Gateway City in 40 Rare Maps, Hahn’s presentation will explore the growth of the city from its founding in the 1760s to the present day. We will navigate the stories and past of St. Louis with a closer look at eight specific maps ranging from pictorial and fantasy maps to geographical charts used for exploration and city planning.

Meet Andy Hahn

Andy Hahn is a 7th generation St. Louisan who has been passionate about history since he was a kid. He has been the director of the Campbell House Museum for 21 years. Recently, Hahn managed a $2 million expansion of the 1851 townhouse in downtown St. Louis. Andy Hahn is also the author of the new local history book called, St. Louis Mapped: A History of the Gateway City in 40 Rare Maps.
